CD: A Christmas to Remember

In 2023, Tom Gaebel sweetened the Advent season for his fans with "A Christmas To Remember", his first Christmas album in eight years.

And the following year? The singer, entertainer and bandleader put another musical gift under the tree! An extended edition of the album is now being released, featuring five brand new songs alongside the original tracks. It starts with the single 'Zwei Männer im Schnee' - a humorous and touching duet with the German singer and songwriter Gregor Meyle. 'Zwei Männer im Schnee' tells the story of two men who unexpectedly become friends after a car accident in a snowstorm. In a humorous yet profound way, the song deals with the themes of loneliness and unexpected closeness - "Two men in the snow / Were terribly lonely / But together they share the road" - perfectly accompanied by a catchy melody. The two musicians have known each other for years, have already appeared together on TV shows and their collaboration was long overdue. The extended edition of "A Christmas To Remember" offers further musical highlights in addition to the new duet. These include a bossa nova version of Kelly Clarkson's "Underneath The Tree", in which Tom Gaebel once again demonstrates his versatility as a musician. Fans of crooner classics will also get their money's worth:
Together with Matt Dusk, who is also featured on the original version of the album, Gaebel sings the timeless "My Favorite Things" from the musical "The Sound of Music". Another special highlight is the song "Schlittenfahrt zum Weihnachtsmarkt", originally an instrumental by James Last, which has now been supplemented with lyrics by Tom Gaebel - courtesy of the Last family. The album is rounded off by the new, specially composed song "Wintersee", which impressively underlines Gaebel's ability for atmospheric original compositions. Of course, Tom Gaebel will be going on his traditional "A Swinging Christmas" tour again this year. The concerts, which put audiences in the Christmas spirit year after year, are an absolute must for all fans of big band sounds and Christmas classics.
