CD: Echoes of the Inner Prophet

Saxophonist Melissa Aldana follows up her acclaimed, GRAMMY-nominated Blue Note debut "12 Stars" (2022) with the album "Echoes of the Inner Prophet", a spiritual musical journey. Co-produced by Aldana and guitarist Lage Lund, the album features Aldana's quintet with Lund on guitar, Fabian Almazan on piano, Pablo Menares on bass and Kush Abadey on drums. The 8-track set comprises six new pieces by Aldana, in which she embarks on a search for profound truths with introspection, intuition and self-reflection.
