Since their formation ten years ago, GoGo Penguin have been considered one of the most promising new bands on the border between jazz and electronica. Now their new EP "Between Two Waves" is finally released as a limited vinyl edition.
After stops at Gondwana Records, the nucleus of the creative young jazz scene in Manchester, and Blue Note, the new five songs represent GoGo Penguin's first collaboration with XXIM Records. At the same time, they are the trio's first steps with their new drummer Jon Scott.

The band's sound has obviously not been affected by either change. GoGo Penguin still have catchy piano melodies, driving bass lines and electronic music inspired drumming to offer. Relaxed jazz that relies on a modern sound and an almost ambient feel at times.
"Between Two Waves" proves that GoGo Penguin will remain true to themselves even under slightly different auspices and will continue to consistently implement their very free understanding of modern jazz.
