CD: All That Matters

All That Matters / Simon Oslender | Steve Gadd | Will Lee | Bruno Müller

Simon Oslender | Steve Gadd | Will Lee | Bruno Müller

release date: 25 Oct 2024
Simon Oslender, one of the shooting stars of the European jazz scene, presents his new studio album "All That Matters".
And this album is awesome!
With Steve Gadd on drums and Will Lee on bass, two American giants of the studio scene, both of whom have accompanied all the greats of R&B, pop, soul, funk, blues and jazz on countless records - and countless times side by side - form the rhythm section of the new album together with Simon Oslender.
"All That Matters" offers everything that is musically most important to Oslender - and takes up what his roots are: R&B, blues, soul, gospel and funk. And the instrument he began learning at the age of five also finds its rightful place here - the good old Hammond B3. A very personal album - and with the presence of Steve Gadd and Will Lee, the fulfillment of one of his personal dreams.
This illustrious line-up is completed by Germany's leading groove specialist among guitarists, Bruno Müller, and the excellent alto saxophonist Jakob Manz, who is just 22 years old but has also been socialized with groove jazz. One of the best on his instrument appears as a special guest: Nils Landgren on trombone.
