Following the great success of his last album (over 8 million streams), the well-known German jazz keyboardist Sebastian Gahler is releasing his new album "Electric Stories".
It offers groove-based high-energy jazz with depth and underlines his self-image as a versatile musical storyteller. Gahler switches from the classical grand piano to a veritable fortress of vintage keys and synthesizers. On the album, he plays with New York trombonist Andy Hunter (Snarky Puppy). The soundscape is inspired by the groove, funk and fusion jazz of the 1960s and 70s, in which Gahler locates his musical roots and follows in the footsteps of pioneers such as Herbie Hancock's groundbreaking album "Head Hunters" (1973).
The album is completed by a top-class ensemble of exceptional musicians: Niklas Schneider on drums, Nico Brandenburg on Electric bass, Martin Feske on electric guitar and - as a guest on five tracks - Denis Gäbel from the HR Big Band on tenor saxophone.
