CD: Night and the City

Bassist and composer Charlie Haden was a musician who tried out a wide variety of formats and styles over the course of his career. Since the mid-1970s, he seemed to have had a particular soft spot for duos with top-class and completely different partners. "Night And The City" was the third in a series of duo projects that Haden made for Verve in the 1990s. He can be heard here with the great pianist Kenny Barron in an intimate tête-à-tête.
