Wolfgang Schlüter, der zur Zeit wohl bedeutenste Vibraphonist Europas, wurde 1933 in Berlin geboren. 1953 gründeten Wolfgang Schlüter und der Pianist Michael Naura ihr bekannt gewordenes Quintett. Es folgten viele internationale Festivals, Konzert-Tourneen und Club-Gastspiele.
