Ensembles with Silvia Droste

She began her career in a dixieland band at school in 1974, and in 1977-8 she won several contests in Germany and the Netherlands. From 1978 to 1984 she studied education and English and from 1980 on she appeared as a guest soloist with various European traditional jazz bands.
However, she became increasingly influenced by modern styles.
