Renee Rosnes’ distinguished career continues to reach new heights, marked by new music, compelling collaborations, and ever-evolving artistry. After moving to New York from Vancouver, Canada in 1985, the pianist and composer quickly established an international reputation, touring and recording with jazz luminaries such as Joe Henderson, Wayne Shorter, JJ Johnson, Bobby Hutcherson and James Moody. She was a ten year member of the Carnegie Hall Jazz Band, and a founding member of the SFJAZZ Collective, with whom she toured and recorded for six years.
In 1990, Rosnes released her eponymously-titled debut album on Blue Note Records, and went on to record ten albums for the storied label. To date, she has released 19 solo albums, and appeared on countless recordings as a sought-after sideperson.
