Felix Schneider-Restschikow is a German jazz pianist, composer, bandleader, and educator. He studied jazz piano in Würzburg and completed a period of study in Valencia with Albert Sanz. He earned his master's degree in Würzburg in 2017. Today, he lives and works in Würzburg as a versatile musician and lecturer.
Schneider-Restschikow is active in a number of stylistically diverse ensembles. These include his own FSR Trio, featuring modern original compositions; the Lou Duo, which combines Argentinian and jazz elements; and projects such as Castillo Kazaki, Hussien & Felix, the Raniin Trio, and the Anton Mangold Quartet. In 2025, he also co-founded the Āso Ensemble, whose music blends Kurdish, Balkan, and Eastern European sounds with Western jazz traditions.
He has received numerous awards, including the Steinway Solo Piano Jazz Award 2017 (Frankfurt) and the Young German Jazz Prize 2017 (Osnabrück). Schneider-Restschikow regularly releases singles and albums that reflect his sonic openness, rhythmic curiosity and compositional versatility.
