Rüdiger Krause (born 1970 in Suhl) is a German jazz guitarist and composer. He grew up in Magdeburg and studied at the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music in Dresden. His energetic and melodic guitar style blends elements of mainstream jazz, funk, and psychedelic rock.

In the 1990s, he performed duo concerts with swing legend Günter Hörig and founded the Dresden cult band Jazzfanatics. Since the 2000s, he has reached a wide audience performing with the bands of Manfred Krug, Céline Rudolph, and Esther Kaiser. His album A Guitar Named Carla with Carla Bley and Steve Swallow (2016) became his greatest international success.

He is currently touring with Günther Fischer, Uschi Brüning, and the crossover guitar trio Guitar Celebration. His album Parallel Real (2024) features guest appearances by, among others, Günther Fischer, Esther Kaiser, and Ian Melrose.

The Rüdiger Krause Quartet includes Leipzig-based musicians Jörg Leistner (p), Daniel Werbach (b), and Gaga Ehlert (dr).
