Maximilian Höcherl is a singer, lyricist, and composer in the genres of jazz and pop. He studied music education and jazz vocals at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich. The "multi-stylistic vocal experimenter with charisma" (Süddeutsche Zeitung) regularly performs with big bands and various ensembles, and has shared the stage with artists such as Bobby McFerrin, Willi Johanns, Pete York, Tilman Jäger, and Christian Elsässer.
From 2015 until the end of the project in 2020, Maximilian Höcherl served as host and singer for the concert revue “Charlie and his Orchestra.” Since 2016, he has been the bass soloist in Stephan König's “Christmas Oratorio in Jazz.”
In July 2018, his arrangements of various Bach motets, composed together with Munich composer and pianist Maruan Sakas for a large choir and jazz quintet, premiered with the Munich Motet Choir.
