Mathias Eick is among the most immediately recognizable soloists to have emerged from the Norwegian jazz scene, and his wistful trumpet sound and strongly melodic compositions have met with a positive response around the world. The music on the album can be described as lyrical rhythmic modern jazz, with a strong focus on shared energy. With the title, Mathias Eick wants to express concern for the people affected by the unrest that has ruled the Middle East for as long as he can remember. "-I remember watching the news at my grandmother's house every Thursday when I was little, and one thing kept happening, there was always war somewhere in the Middle East," says Eick. The album was recorded in Rainbow studio in Oslo in January 2024 while the war was once again raging between Israelis and Palestinians, and left its mark on the music.
