In their 15th year as a 'transatlantic' group, WE THREE will present their new cd 'MOMENT TO MOMENT! ' - their 5th - at concerts, live radio recordings and workshops at german music universities
The music of WE THREE features the smoking Hammond organ sounds of Dan Kostelnik, as they have been heard in New York clubs like Birdland, Augies, Village Gate or in New Jersey and Philadelphia at the Club 88, the Top Shelf and Blue Moon Cafe.
He and german guitarist Michael Arlt met in '95 at Philadelphias 'Ortliebs Jazzhaus', where Kostelnik was working with Bootsie Barnes and Billy James. WE THREE did their first tour in germany with the help of drummer Duck Scott in '96 and got back together once or twice a year, since.
Meanwhile, apart from a number of concert tours in Europe, WE THREE recorded live and in the studio for Bavarian Radio and MDR Radio and made three CDs, 'East Coasting' ('97, with a guest appearance by swiss saxophonist Roman Schwaller), 'The Drivin' Beat' ('99, cooperating with percussionist Josè Cortijo from Spain) and 2002's trio outing '! Live! The Official Bootleg Edition', introducing a strong new voice on drums: Scott Neumann from Brooklyn fits right in and adds fresh sounds.
Since then the Trio released ' A New View ' and toured regularly in Europe and the US.
