Rue de Paris – Quiet Motion (Release: 8. 9. 2006 Sony Classical / SONY BMG)
The title is the program: "Quiet Motion" against "an ever accelerating world – we all long for quiet moments", says Rue Protzer, jazz guitar player and initiator of a new quartet project punningly called "Rue de Paris". So this album reveals a wholly different discovery of slowness, re-confirming Aubrey Beardsley's classical dictum that "slowness is beauty".
"Rue de Paris reflect instantaneous views on an ignored or almost forgotten world bordering on stillness, rich in irresistibly beautiful poetry, depth, admirable sensitivity, and expressive intensity". (Alexander Schmitz)
