Hamburg has a new excellent Large Ensemble: OPERATION GRAND SLAM! The sound collective is a fusion of Sebastian Hoffmann’s „Der Kosmische Souverän“ and Christin Neddens’ „Oceanside Large Ensemble“. With a high passion for the wild and colorful 60s music, they take their audience on a unique journey: The result is precisely selected programmatic film music from Lalo Schifrin, Quincy Jones or Ennio Morricone as well as originals which are presented with a new modern, virtuous-avant-garde Jazz -, danceable Funk - and „punshy' Rock attitude. Groove-, vintage-, Jazz- and cinema - enthusiasts: Be welcome! The first album of this band (vinyl & CD) will be released in spring 2017.
