In 1988/89 he was a private student of Joe Pass. After studying Jazz at the Musikhochschule Köln he played first guitar in 400 shows of the Rock opera 'Tommy' by Pete Townsend. He acted worldwide as an accompanying guitar player. Among others he played with Gloria Gaynor in Kairo and with Heino in New York.
