Michael Langkamp, born July 1980, started playing the trumpet at the age of 9. After having
lessons with germans well-known trumpet player Christian Kappe and saxophonist Uwe Plath he got soon interested in Jazz and started playing in local bigbands in NRW. From 1998-2003 he was member of Youth Jazz Orchestra NRW, with which he did a lot of touring inside and outside of Germany to e. g. Belarus, Greece, France, Andalusia, Morocco, Corea, etc., and was shortly member of Youth Jazz Orchestra Bava
