Hadi Alizadeh

The percussionist Hadi Alizadeh was born in 1973 in Ilam/Iran. He studied in Teheran with master Bahman Rajabi the Persian drum Tonbak. Autodidactically he taught himself the art of the Daf play. In Iran he had numerous appearances at festivals and on broadcast. Starting from 1995 he teaches classical Persian drum techniques. Since 2001 he lives in Germany. Here he continued his teaching activity at different institutions, among others at the FMZ (free music center) Munich. His artistic emphasis is on the exchange with musicians of other traditions and cultures. He works as a soloist, and with several groups and at festivals. It is the collaboration with the Goethe Forum in Munich, Gewandhaus Leipzig, University of Frankfurt, Gasteig Munich, Museum of Ethnology, adult education center, Free Music Center (FMZ), Bayerischer Rund Funk, Edinburgh Festival. Kurdistan Festival, TV Belgium, Afghan, Turkish, Persian, Kurdish, Italian... Groups.
